Is it a E23 735i Turbo?

I made my offer on this:
1978 Grey Market 323i
Real Alpina wheels
Recently Rebuilt to BMW Spec Engine.
Car comes with 2tone paint, and zender body kit, which will probably be removed. The car has no rust, and the interior is great other than missing floormats, German text(I like:), and a torn seat.

I go friday to put money down. It is being purchased from a friend so I am sure he will not run off and sell it befor then. I told him I want it, so I consider it saved.

Very nice! I say keep the kit, lose the hood scoops, and find a rear bumper that better matches. Still, sweet little car, the front has kind of a CSL look to it.

Very cool. Ya lose the hood scoops. I'm not a fan of the two tone, that car would look sweet in silver.

Dont see many E21s around.

My 3rd/4th is gonna be a 2002 or 3.0 CS....

Ive managed to stay pretty clean for a good 2 years. I have a dedicated track car, the prospect of racing ITS next season is reason enough to keep it clean on the roads, not to mention most of my daily drivers have been detuned enough, or are not fast enough(miata) these days.

Dude I don't mean to **** on your thread, but I have been following that car on BF.c since the kid got it. He only bought it for $400 (if I recall) and fixed some heater coils or something to make it run. He is now trying to sell it but now says that it can't hold oil compression for some reason. I'm no expert, but many of the hardcore e21 owners believe that the whole bottom end is rotting out from sittng so long. It could just need a tune-up, I don't know, but I would want to see you spend money on a car that needs a new engine. Hopefully it needs little work because it looks like such a sick car.

By the way, my Dad had a 280z exactly like yours but had to sell it when I was born because of the 2 seat factor. It was a sick looking car and he regrets selling it to this day. The car looks amazing in the last picture going around the turn.

Best of luck, Andrew

Ya the guy is actually a friend of mine, we knew each other from the import community. I am heading over there tomorrow night, if it is as I suspect the issues if there are any are not as relevent as it sounds. It sounds as though the stock pressure sending unit is not where he is getting signal for the VDO gauge, but rather from an alternate sending unit which is mounted in an improper location.

EDIT: As I was typing this some 411 came in, things are going to be alright, I will update you tomorrow, but looks like the problems which he thought were there are not.
