Anyone use Phoenix transmision parts for either rebuilt trannies or valve bodies?

http://www.phoenixhardparts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=388

They have a rebuilt valve body 5HP30 for $319 plus $400 core.

The page says it all, ---

'Use in a used transmission voids any implied warrantee'

What on earth do they think it will be used in??

Therefore, they offer no guarantee at all! VERY expensive considering there's no warrantee of any kind AND a HUMUNGOUS 'core-charge'

A proper service kit for your existing valve-block cant be anywhere near that price.........

Cant be much of an outfit!

My valve-block needs doing, Got the usual third slip on gear-change when hot, When I get to it, Ill do a photographic step-by-step of how it goes. BUT it may be next year before I get to it.......

Here's a link to the rebuild procedure: valve body rebuild (http://tridem.han-solo.net/auto/erich/valvnew.pdf)

I'd also recommend Kirt Koeller for parts and expertise.

Yes, as Cambridge says, instruction is on my website. The link is from my page. I got it from the guy who made the info together with Kirt Koeller.
