Indicator Stalk

I bought a new indicator stalk and wiring loom off fleabay for my car but it must be from a later car because it's got different connections even though both cars have an OBC. The problem i had with my old stalk is that the cancel mechanism doesn't work when turning left so i was wondering is it possible to open them up and swap it over? It appears to be clipped together the whole way round.

I can't shed any light on the connector resolution. If you decide to open it up, play a hair dryer over the plastic housing to warm it up so the clips aren't as brittle. When you pry open the clips & separate the halves, do it inside a plastic bag so springs & parts don't fly all over. Take a few pic's before removing parts so you have a reference point for how things go back together. Those levers can be complex sometimes.
