Now I know that it's gonna be difficult to believe this...........but she's been around. This is the one Gayle. She would visit us often when we were back on the "old-style" Bimmernut board. As you can see, the signs are perfect for Photoshopping all sorts of messages to various board members. There were other photos of her in an M3 or something as I recall. The details of the photos are a bit hazy, but I do remember her being in them! :p

I'm sure that Jr and Ed remember her. ;)

Brian, you're right. she has been around a while, probably a lot too :p
She might have even been on the old roadflea board before bimmernut, back around the time of Jimmy540 and the Xenon bulbs. There are also fully nude pictures out there somewhere. There was a website and you needed a paasword to get in but the password got around and then they disappeared. Must've been at least 3 -4 years ago.

So if this is the imfamous Carrie of bimmer.info lore, should I put her in the archives under bimmer nuggets?

Brian tells me she used to "post" here and do shout-outs to all the guys. LOL

That's Cara -she was all over the Roadflea lounge boards about 5 years ago. She posted one day that her life had taken a different turn (she wouldn't say why) and she wasn't going to be posting pics of herself, like that or otherwise, anymore.

What's a shout-out?

It is a slang term for when people get on the radio or tv and have 5 seconds to say hi to the folks back home or say anything else they want.

Cara was before my time on this board. I had always assumed that some male member of the board had set up a fake id, was downloading these pics from some site, and making up fake messages like:

Hi to all my friends at bimmer.info. You guys are the best.

or

Really miss you guys. Love Cara

When I heard a mysterious reference to Cara, I asked someone who would know what the deal was with her. I was told it was porn pics always with a BMW and that she did shoutouts, so the above is what I imagined. As far as the BMW, I had imagined cars instead of signs.

Where did you find this pic?

That picture was posted on http://www.orsm.net some time ago.

I will pass this on to my husband. It will make his day.

Edit: The conclusion in our household was that more was not better. She should have quit after the first 3 pics. The more pictures you see of her the less attractive she gets. You definitely selected the most appealing one initially. What is weird about these pictures is that she is a neighborhood girl somewhere, just taking these in her house. You got to wonder who the photographer is.

Double edit: It is also weird that I am critiquing this. I really must think I am just one of the guys. I think I will go back to detailing my truck.

Yeah, she does look like a girl nextdoor - but that's the point. Maybe the photographer was her (ex?) boyfriend or a very good friend/neighbour :) I know I wouldn't mind if my neighbour asked me to take pictures of her... :)

Nah, you're OK. Here, grab a beer, and later we can have a "who can fart the loudest" contest. :)

Maybe you should ask her if she need some pics taken ? Then run home, and post them here.

Not trying to be snotty about it, but I am curious why you keep reading it if it is so distasteful to you?

You know, there are other people who participate in this forum who are only interested in talking cars and they actually don't bother to read the bs threads like this one. Just a thought.

And by the way, I totally agree with what you said.

Fair question. I'm really not bothered by this thread. I find it distasteful, but that's not the same as offensive. I'm not offended. Distaste can be funny, and for the most part, it is in this case.

Making a joke about a fatal car accident is getting close the line, though, and that one wasn't even funny. There's a lot of stuff in this thread, but I thought that cracking wise about a dead, married athletic hero boning some broad from beyond the grave took the cake. I was never that into NASCAR, but I can tell you I cried when Greg Moore died, and I think all those guys that risk their lives to entertain us deserve better.

But I wholehartedly agree that people ought to be able to say (almost) anything they want, and those that don't like it can avert their eyes and ears.

I certainly don't mean to stop the show. Carry on...

...Look at our president.... Anyways, we're also promoting Nascar drivers as athletes. That **** isn't a sport. Not that #3 wasn't a badass dude. Poker is about as much a "sport." Pfff.

You go spend an hour and a half sustaining 2 lateral Gs at 200MPH, then come back and say that.

Granted, I'm not the fittest guy in the world, but 20 minutes in a go-kart tires the **** outta me. There's absolutely no question in my mind that professional drivers are athletes.
