#2 what are the torque specs when tightening the oil filter nut and the oil outlet nut?
# anywebsite showing instructions on how to change the oil? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything because I change the oil on my 2004 e46.....but about to change my 1994 e34 for the first time.

thanks

toyota previa and my ford f150, year round i use it and the ambient here gets well above 100F in the summer. No problems with it in any of my cars or any of my customers cars. The torque for the drain plug if its a 12mm bolt is 25nm, if its a 22mm bolt then the torque is 60nm. The torque for the oil filte housing cover is 25nm

Tighten it till it strips and back it off a quarter turn.

I found 0w40 a bit to thin for my 535i. Granted it was nice when the car sat ou on 3 degree nights - now I prefer to user 15w50 year round.

I would do mobil 1 10w30 in the v8.
