...in the form of new seat bolster covers. Driver's side left bolster was blown out when I bought the car, and the right bolster popped in July at a driver's school :D , so I priced out new covers from World Upholstery in California. The seat back covering, which would include the left and right bolster, and the center embossed cover on the sport seats, would be $200 plus shipping. A trip to the old upholstery shop in downtown Raleigh, Auto Interiors and Tops, netted the left and right seatback bolsters for $62.03. Total.
They get installed this afternoon. Do they look different than original? Very slightly. I got to choose my piping to match the existing bolsters, and the vinyl is BMW original natur. I'm tickled to death with the quality. Will post finished pics over the weekend. Now it makes my thigh bolsters look horrible!
