I have heard from some members of the japanese E32 club that some dealers (probably not BMW) do a simple trick to stop leaking LAD line in the rear by simply installing a screw (the say even a spark plug fits?) at the back of the regulating valve, from where the one line is going to the divider to the both rear shocks. Under these conditions the rear is only supported by the (softer LAD) springs, but the rest of the hydraulic system like power steering works.
Anyone ever heard or tried this?
Here pics, but I am not sure if that is the right hole to be closed on the reg. valve
