what exactly are you asking? be more specific, there are a few guys on here who have installed some sort of hids..

I want to know if it is possible to use OEM Hids from a 2001 740 in my E34. Will they fit properly?

both yes and no. the ballast you can hook up rather easily. The problem you will run into is the bulb. your e34 has 9006 based bulbs, and the HID's in your e38 will have d2s bulbs. you would have to either

A. buy some rebased d2s bulbs-> 9006
B. retrofit your e38 projectors into the ellipsoids.

you could also try to retrofit the bulb itself too. it's possible, but a rebased bulb will save you a lot of headaches.

Now i just need to align them...ugh.
