I am thinking of getting Falken Ziex-512 tires. They are cheap but are they any good? I have looked around for comments on various tire sites and the comments are generally very positive. In fact, the reviews seem to be too good for the price.

I have had 2 sets of their FK-451's on my Z. A friend has used their RT-615 for roadcourse use and was pretty impressed. I know a couple of people who have used the 512's for their strictly street cars and were very happy with them. I am planning on getting the 512's for my E34 fairly soon myself.

This is a FAQ and has been discussed at length MANY times. You need to get acquainted with the search function. In this case, the search should be very easy since the keyword "Falken" is unique. You should get at least 30-40 hits.

Hi,

I drove the Falken FK-451 betas 235/40zr/18 on my e34 525. They are a really nice tire. Just sticky enough. Great in wet weather. Not loud at all. I would buy another set of these. They are rated highly in consumer reports
for a reason. I would not drive these on snow in the winter tho as these are
strictly a super high performance tire. Try Discount Tire Direct for the best
price on these and maybe they still have free shipping available. Good Luck.

i use the Falken Zeix-512's on my supercharged Escort GT (setup for strip). They have amazing grip for such low cost tires. I would always recommend azeni's over the zeix but you can't beat the price/performance for the Zeix. They are great for daily driving as well but there are softer alternatives out there that will make for a smoother ride.

I have to be the thorn in this thread, I had Ziex 512s on my 911T, and they were louder and rougher than the dry rotted Yokohamas that they replaced. Good grip though. Maybe it's the exception, but I talked to other Porsche guys with similar experiences. If you get them, price these guys, they were the cheapest for mine.

What about Fuzions? Bridgestone's top technology at bargain prices, I had ZRis on my 951 and loved them. Lots of guys on Rennlist had them, I never read a bad review.

I am also not a fan of the Falkens. Grip seems their strength but workmanship ain't top notch I wrote at length about tires, do a search.

As suggested, do a search on the topic. I had 2 Falken ZIEX 512's on the car from the PO and have bought 2. For the price, they are a pretty good tire, but I believe the rear (Older) tires are starting to get noisier. Overall I'm still pretty happy with them.

i'm thinking of trying the fuzion zri's next, when my tires wear out, which will probably be around spring time.

i heard rumors that the fuzion zri's are very similar to the bridgestone re730's.

Straight from the mouth (keyboard) of a Bridgestone tire guy that also is a 928 owner on Rennlist, the ZRis have 90% of the technology of the Potenza SO3, but at half the price. I got my ZRis for about $100 per in 17" sizes (255/245), while SO3s were $200 in those sizes. He's a pretty straight guy too, he recomended tires other than Bridgestones for our 4Runner. They are awesome tires, made my 951 quieter, ride softer, and grip way better. Lots of guys on Rennlist have auto X'd them too, they say they're pretty good for a street tire.

simply they are the worst ever !! I dubmed then after 4 monthes of usage .. they r **** !! the size was 235X45ZR17 Front 255X40ZR17 Rear. there is a new brand Called Marshal made in Korea or China I think they made 60,000 Km without a single punsher ... with speed never less than 180Km/h and heat over 44C ... 115F almost
