its pretty late right now and i have a 2-3 page paper due in about 8 hours
so i got to thinking if there is anyway to get a m5 head on a 535i block...

is it worth it? is it possible? is it remotely possible?

what are some major obstacles to overcome (besides the fact that the m5 is 3.6l and the m30 is 3.4l)

yah its kinda late, back to social informatics :(

they are all based on the M30 block, so yes,
i dont see any reason why it wouldnt go on,
i dont know if the "s" motors are belt driven, or
chain driven, but physically possible, yes

:D GET BACK TO WORK! I sit in my engineering classes and space out too, think about all the stuff that I'd like to do to my 540. That, or if I have an upcoming project I'll make a list of all the stuff I need so I don't forget anything, as the professor drones on about drag and lift.

ok well i got the paper done
but seriously has anyone done this?

the m30's iron block is one to be reckoned with
and the s38 head is hotness sooooo seems
like a nice match....
