Took greater part of 2 hrs because I hadn't the bulbs or wiring set up when I did it. I need to toy with the aiming again, but otherwise they are NICE.

Thanks in Advance,

they are the Depo brand... they feel really solid, and the lenses are very nice. Any idea where i can pick up stoneguard locally? for bulbs i have just regular sylvania H1 bulbs, getting SilverStars asap (today).

I bought the same depo lenses but have not installed them yet. Was it really hard to do and do you have any instructions or tips for the job? Btw, I also picked up 3M stone guards from bavauto.com for about $50 including shipping, they are great.

Have you ever felt the lights after running them for like an hour? they heat the glass up pretty well... do you think the euro lights could melt the 3M stoneguard? possibly screw up the euro's?

I would expect a reputable company like 3M to already account for this situation and I would be very surprised if they melted. And I believe that such a "prestigious" BMW aftermarket products carrier such as BavAuto would not carry them if they could melt nor would they praise them like they do.

The stone guards will not melt. You feel the lenses and think they're really hot but thats because people feel things hotter than warm water and think its too hot. Plastic/acrylic has a higher melting point than most people think...

I have the bavauto stone guards on mine, I have 55w low and 100w hi, I have had no problems. In fact the directions tell you to warm them up before you install them.... If you have expensive lights, do yourself a favor and protect them.
