Does anyone have any idea how to drill out a bleeder valve on my '92 525? It sheared clean off tonight when I went to bleed the brakes. I am pissed.

wheres the bleeder...in the caliper? If so its time for a new one. Try getting a can of PB Blaster and soaking the other bleeders and make sure you can get them loose before you only get one caliper.

Good luck!

Yeah, it is the left front caliper. My wife will love it when I tell her that we need a new caliper. Any ideas where to get one and how much they run? Thanks again.

Try www.bmaautoparts.com

mention *dot info* for the same discount you will get from calling. They are fair, get 95% of the orders right and know what they are talking about. Much better than other mail order companies.

No ID what they run bro.

If you don't want to go into the caliper expense you can bleed your brakes as mechanics do when the bleeder valve sheered off in the old days.Just loosen the hose connection while somebody stays on the pedal.Does the same trick just don't let air be sucked in.

the only problem with bleeding at the hose is any air in the caliper stays in the caliper

I'm with Winfred. Very easy to get an ez-out and spin the valve out of there, then it's fixed right.

Well I tried the easy out again and we were able to bet it to come loose. Thanks for all your advice. BTW don't buy fluted style easy outs. They are horrible. I twisted two of them around like a pretzel.
