Help! Coolant Leaking

Hey there all. This is my first post so be gentle :D

Over the last Month or so, the car has been leaking coolant. Every 4 or so days "Coolant Level" would come up. But over the last couple of days it's been doing it every 24 hours. I got under the car and noticed a puddle of coolant. Any body any idea where it's coming from? It seems to be just behind the transmission case.

I jacked it up to take some pictures, and when i did, the coolant came streaming out (well not streaming, but quite fast). I jacked it up from the left hand side.

Any ideas? I read on here that another member had coolant leaking into the heater core. I'm not very mechanically minded so any info would help.

From those pictures, it's hard to tell where the leak is coming from. I believe I'm the one with the leaky heater core.

Sorry the pics are a little bad... Cant really get any better pics without getting the car jacked right up. I guess i'll take it into the shop tomorrow to have it looked at.

I had the same coolant problems...first I had to replace most of the hoses...then I had to get a new explansion tank because it had cracks in it.

was it leaking in the same place?
