I saw it on a M5 bt I don't know where to get it. Tried BMA, Bav Auto and BMW Motorsports. Any ideas? Also, has anyone changed out their door handles? Was it hard?

Removing them is easy. There is a small hole in the side of the door at the level of the door handle, covered by a rubber seal. Remove the rubber seal, use a flash light and you will see a lever inside. Push that one towards front of the car. Remove the outher door handle cover from outside. Then you will see 2 screws underneath and so forth.
Online spare parts catalog will help you how to do.

Don't get too excited, they are expensive as hell. $180 bucks a piece. I don't think I want them that bad. Perhaps we could find some one here who can get them for us for a whole lot cheaper. Perhaps if we ordered in bulk, then Bruno might be able to get us a substantial discount?

Man, you guys are nuts. If your car came with those embossed handles, you'd be lining up to pay $180 to swap 'em for the plain ones.

:p

Probably but I am not swapping anything for that kind of money. I mean Why would i spend $800 for door handles and keep my crappy rims? I would use that money for something more pratical like 18" replicas.

Me too but I would just f#%k up the door handle if I tried to etch something into it. I think I'll try it this weekend. I am going to try and find a stencil and use my father in law's dremel.

Fot that kind of money I'd shave my handles off and put in some solenoids. I've been seriously thinking of doing it anyway, would look so much cleaner on a white car.

You could paint your handles white. I just saw Bruno's race car, which he just had painted, trim, door handles and all. Looks awesome.

That sounds like one more thing to mess with the mojo of the electrical system, which seems a bit flaky in these cars when stock.
