some time ago i posted a thread about a bumping noise in the rear interior. i think it dissappeard in the crash. anyways there were some others with identical symptoms and like me no bloody idea of what it was. so for the record my case was the rear left hoodlining.now knowing what it is just pisses me off more! just found it out! its more like rattle sometimes. does anybody know how to do it. is it hard? or best left to a professional to pull it apart and put it back together properly. if so ive got black leather interior and was thinking to go from oe grey to black hoodlining. thoughts?
thanx in advance.

Are you talking about the hood insulation, the lining under the hood? If that's what your talking about, here's an old thread cover the lining removal: http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=9060&highlight=hood+insulation.

I found it by do a search: hood insulation

sorry, maybe a confusion in my explanation i think. i meant interior lining, inside the car itself up on the ceiling., over here we call the hood lining sorry
