i know the topic of spark plugs has been done over a few times, i have just replaced mine with Bosch Super 4 plugs. Luvin it. the idle is smoother, power feels better, pulls stronger to red line and economy is better on the freeway by about 10%. i know that they are relatively expencive, retail for about $100 for the set of 8, but i got them at staff discount, 50% off, from my brother.
Have also seen some information on Bosch fuel injectors - {Design III} - American company Fiveo - www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsBMW.asp suggesting fuel economy and performance improvements. for $422 for a set of 8.
Has anyone tried them? any results?

What do they use in the later 540i?

The Bosch F6VE type IIIs you refer to actually have a slightly lower maximium flowrate than the BMW part (however if this is noticable at Wide Open Throttle I don't know). I like mine, they look nicer on the engine... :D

Looks like they have changed the spec on the injectors since i last checked, they were a 36lbs/hr unit with a different part number - 0280155811 for 8 and the price difference.

Yea I can't imagine how any of the V8s would use the same injectors come to think of it. Everything changed on those engines... stands to reason the injectors would too. I'm amzed they didn't. BTW My assertion that 0280155710-F6VE actually flows less than the original BMW part (Bosch 0280150556) and not FOTE-D5B is only based on flowrates I obtained on the net, I doubt this really establishes the fact entirely. They could indeed be identical.

Bosch keep the numbers VERY close to their chests. :( GP
