Is that the BMW farm I remember someone mentioning?

Too bad it is not feasible to have a cyro lab where all rip e34 go for organ donations. Sometimes I wonder what it is going to be like trying to parts for Charlie when I still own him 20 years from now.

Before hubby, I had a boyfriend that had a Lancia he bought new. A few years later Lancia pulled out of the US. Getting parts became a nightmare. I remember when he had to get the airconditioning replaced and our mechanic after some difficult searching scored the last air conditioning unit available in the US. I hope it doesn't get like that for our cars.

Vines - that would be vinesauto.com, or you can call them. They seem to be the easiest source of used BMW parts. I've bought several things from them and the service seems to be reliable. Good Luck.

shouldn't be too much trouble, you can still get 2002 and barf-area parts and they are 30 or so years old

There are specialized companies for old parts worldwide. For example this company in Germany has for old models almost everything, but the parts are new. They buy them wherever they can and store them.
BMW 1500 to 2000 Coupé
BMW 1502 to 2002 turbo
BMW 2500 to 3,3 Li
BMW 2,5 to 3,0 CSL
BMW 518 to M535 i (E12)
BMW 315 to 323 i (E21)
BMW 628 CSI to M635 CSI (E24)
BMW 728 to 745i (E23)

Yup, and here's a picture of the man himself!

I was busy replacing my headliner while all of this was going on...Bret hung out and replaced the cylinder head on the pictured minitrail.

It was quite a hot day for early May. Gas was still in the $1.80s around the corner from the farm, though :D
