Hey,

I've got a 1991 BMW 535i.

The driver's seat (motorized version) might be mistracked or a motor out.

On the actual back rest portion of the seat -- I am unable to use the switch (or any manual force) to move the back rest up or down. It only moves on one side (the right), not the left. So the seat is all tweaked and the right side is up and the left side down, if that makes any sense.

It's the most bizarre thing. And I'm not sure how I can repair it.

Any suggestions?

Let me know if a pic. will help visualize the problem, and I'll borrow a friends camera.

Thanks guys.

Sorry lads,

looks like this _might_ have been covered in the archives as "twisted seat" syndrome. Is the fix the same as the one entitled "seat cable fix" ??

Funny thing is: This may be the most common problem along with the door panel and trunk hinge wire problems.

Simple fix, no more that 2 beers worth of time.
