Anyone interested in an E34 meet around NJ/PA/DE? [Archive]

Just checkin' to see if there's any interest. My car is nearing completion (thats a relative term) and so I thought maybe it'd be nice to meet up with some E34'ers since we didn't make it out to the Chicago meet. What do you guys think? I know with the growing number of members on this forum maybe there are some more people in this area?

If we could do something in central NJ it would be conveneint for us NY and CT people as well... kind of a half way point i guess. you thoughts?

Yeah... its not half bad... stick the bed in there.... Its just as good as a hotel room... or at least it was when the ac was working.

Jersey is fine with me. I don't know where in Jersey we could go. I am thinking of Johnson Park in New Brunswick. Martin will be happy to hear that; ******* lives about 10 minutes away. Its about 45 mins for me and alan.

i got a cool place

right on the border of pa and nj there is a really cool bmw service place,
i'll get in contact with them and ask if they'll host it...

its 5 min from frenchtown nj....
about 45min away from me

Mike where in Harrisburg are you? My family is in Enola and we have been looking for a good shop to get inspections/emission testing done. Currently we have a great mechanic but just does not know BMWs.

I actually live in Lemoyne. Occasionally I will take my car to Bavarian Enterprises in Harrisburg for inspection. They do a decent job and are an independent shop, cheaper than the dealer. Most other mechanics in the area are cheaper labor-wise, but charge an arm and a leg for the parts, since they don't really have good sources for BMW parts. Lately I've been fixing everything myself, saved a ton of money and got some cool new tools. If you decide to do any mods or want a hand with any maintenance give me a shout.

Central New Jersey would be okay. Maybe I will have a second E34 by then. My son now has my 1992 525i and I am looking for a 1995 540i either automatic or manual preferably manual.

every tues night at around 930pm we have a euro only meet
at the RAC on livingston campus in rutgers

this is a club my room mate and i started with lots of vw/audis
showing up. there are 2 or 3 e34's in at the moment but anyway
its ongoing (bar rain or freezing cold) so if u guys wanna show
up there? idk..

Looking back over this thread, this is obviously an event in need of an organizer. You guys have been talking about this for 2 months.

Boost Infection--to me it looks like you have the most energy for this meet. If you want this to happen, I think YOU need to pick the place--maybe the one Martin suggested and start a sticky thread like Bill b did on the date for the event at Bret's. Let the voting go for a week and just do it.

This is October--I bet is it gorgeous there now. If I were not 2,500 miles away, I would be in.

I am game. Whenever you guys want. Preferably close to PA/NJ border. My school has a great campus to host a meet. It's in Quakertown, PA if you're interested.

Nominate myself for the organizer- i was out of the loop with car trouble (or making trouble, s/c install etc). Seems like I have worked the bugs out. I am down!
