Auto to Manual conversion

Hello, i'm wondering if doing an Auto to Manual conversion to my '94 540i is a pipe dream or if its actually feasable. Not sure what all i would have to replace (other than the tranny, shifter and console) But i have a Certified BMW mechanic who i would ask to do the work. Just not sure if i'm better off just buying a different car with a stick.

crap, i knew i should have tried to search... Thanks for the links though, most forums just yell at you to use the search haha. I think i'm going to like this board :)
