i have a 1990 bmw 525i, i can't start it because i forgot the 4 digit code for the indash security system, i have tried alot of things but unable to start it, how can i fix this?

Stole this from a previous post by Martin in Bellvue: "Sit with the key in ignition position 'on' & wait. The obc will start a 15 minute countdown & then resets, allowing you to start the car."
