Just wonderin'. It sure would be nice if my car's torque converter locked up much sooner, and in every gear.

Actually Dinan does offer a upgraded torque converter, but it does just the opposite. It's a high-stall torque converter, meaning that it actually takes more RPM to engage the fluid. Meaning you would floor it from a stop, the car would rev higher before the car lurches and thus gives quicker acceleration.

when i replaced my 5hp30 last year i called dinan & asked.
kirt koeller told me if i wanted a high stall torque converter he knew of a shop that custom built them, but they are very expensive.
i would recommend a differential swap first.
