I was just wondering how many Melbourne based E34 owners we have here?
I saw a nice looking Grey E34 today in Knox (Eastern suburbs) with replica E39 M5 rims. There's quite a few E34's for sale recently, some from under $7000 AUD. Which is getting pretty cheap for over here. Maybe the soaring cost of fuel & maintenance is really beginning to bite for some E34 owners?

Hi Pundit, i am in Melbourne, Coburg. i drive to work in Dandenong / Warragul often so the fuel cost is starting to wear a bit thin. I can strongly reccomend a local Mechanic for service, he did his apprenteship for BMW and now Porche in the city sends 'problem' cars to him to fix. best yet are his rates, he replaced an engine mount fro me for free because he felt bad about missing it during a regular service. did it in 20 min while i waited and drank espresso coffee.
Other pricing is really good, 17,40,235 tyres seccond hand imports (still had the moulding nobs on them) fitted for less than 100 each, had 3 sets fitted before he was satisfied. minor service under $100
Metro Motors - Angelo 03 9350 6012, Gaffeny Street Coburg,
Tell him i (Jason, greeen M540)put you on to him and he will look after you

i live in the bayside area and drive a 540iLE (#16/70)
for those that dont know the model basically its a 6spd manual V8 wrapped in the e34's body. only 70 were produced for australia with only a few thousand in the world....awesom car.

Hello to another E34 aficionado. How long have you had the 540iLE?
If you haven't already made contact you should definately go here...

I'm sure David will be happy to include you on his Aussie 540iLE database. ;)

Hey Aussies

What time is it there? I am in CA and it is 10:45 pm (daylight savings times so the time stamp is off an hour). I notice about this time of night most people in the US have called it a night. The east coast is 3 hours later so it is 1:45am on other coast. You guys seem to be getting warmed up about now. Is it morning afternoon evening there? It is still Thursday for me, and is Friday on the east coast. What day is it there?

california is about 18 hours behind Aussie east coasters......and 20 hours behind NZ so i just add four hours and call it yesterday......
