They sound kinda high-pitched & Italian, to me. I prefer the train horns on my neighbors buick.

It's funny, I always thought the stock BMW horn was maybe even too loud. I was just trying to get a friends attention the other day and it scared the **** out of her.

I had to honk at some chump today who merged into my lane... right where I was driving! had to use my race-car brakes, then apply the horn for a good 30 seconds to give the full effect.

The guy did look prett scared after I passed him... maybe the horn is louder than I thought?

I want a horn that either plays "dixie" eg from Dukes of Hazzard, or part of the William Tell Overture-

But my all time favorite is the Herbie horn on my 2002.

Wyn, i bought the same ones from GRIOT's garage ...took the whole front end apart and they were to big to fit in the Stock location with out possible damage to the AC coils...sent them backl

GOOD LUCK

Ha - Hella horns from Griot's. I could use these for trips to King of Prussia.

I've always thought that the stock horns are loud, too. Loud and obnoxious.

It's dang difficult to honk politely in an E34!
