Attn gurus: Is M52 and M50 block the same?

Ie, do they share the same alternator bolt holes, and such? I know internals are different, and I don't care about heads. I am thinking of test fitting s/c bracket etc on the M52 I have in the garage.

it should be close enough for that, the oil filter housing is different but i don't think the alt and pw steering mounting points really changed
