EBC red pads - anyone else had bad experiences?

I just removed some EBC red pads from the front of the car. I was initally under the impression these pads are good, an upgrade from EBC greens. I found them to be dusty, poor initial bite feel and with very fast wear rates. They where not hard on the rotor and don't fade under extreme conditons. They lasted 1 track day and 10,000 kms (6000 miles) of street driving.

the reds are made for track, so they'll take a while longer to warm up
