lower steering coupling joint

?! the pitman arm or the rag joint between the steering box and the shaft?

im not familiar with the term rag joint, its the joint at the end of the steering column in the engine bay, before the steering box

splined parts with some penetrating oil, I'd suggest pbblaster but since you're in europe it may not be available... then remove the lower dash panes inside the car under the steering column, once that panels off you loosen that big splined nut a few turns , then go back up front to where the coupling is and slide the splined shaft up just far enough to remove the top end of the coupling then slide it off the bottom end that goes to the steering gearbox. Where it says tighten this nut in this picture, thats the big nut that you loosen some so you can slide the shaft up a littlehttp://www.bimmernut.com/%7Ebillr/images/Steering%20Shaft%20copy.jpg
