This would be a good event to meet up at. One of the gentleman from the BMW NSW drivers club owns the property.

What do you guys think?

Love to jump in the car and come up... Finances kill that idea!! Would be an awesome roadtrip tho. All the aus E34 owners should come down to Tassie and meet up. Have a week driving all the Targa Tasmania tarmac Rally stages!! :D :D

Sept 11 is out for me. But the club is at Eastern Creek on 13 August for Motokhana on the skid pan.

Hi Kris,

Saw your video of the Wakefield run in trackmedia site. The one you were chasing the blue WRX. Did you lose it in the last corner ?. Appears you went off that corner ?. Really nice track. But I don't recall seeing a hairpin.

Darn, I should have videoed my old track days where I was nose-to-tail thru the hairpin with a Porsche 911 in the wet. My track times were only 1.5 sec slower in the wet, whereas the Porsche was closer to 9 sec slower (mostly driver not car). That makes a decent match when it pours ...

Now that those days are gone and I had a Touring, longing for a mint E30M3 for part-time track.

Hi frankie, the current track is seen here. Plenty of open spaces. The first corner is where I spun out on after the straight.

Wow, great pic of the track. Here is ours in the AF3 site:

http://www.asianf3.net/page/race_maps

We have the Northern track, thats Subic International. Its full of concrete walls but really fun. Spectator-wise, not so great as grandstand is not high and see only 1/3 of the action. This is where I got started 4 yrs ago. Did my Level 2 Drivers course there as well.

Batangas Racing circuit is my favorite, in the South. It is a banked circuit but not as smooth surface as Subic. Its twists and turns are just fantastic. This track as two grandstands very high up and can see almost half of the action.

Great in the rain as the E34 balance really shows at the edge of traction.
I had the tail broke pretty wide ( about 8 feet) but never really spun out there. The hairpin claims many casaulties (in cars, not people!). Did a 4 wheel drift into the hairpin before. Great fun, car needs more power...
