1976 Euro 520 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4563697489&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT)

I'm glad that this was 3000 miles from me or I might have thought more about putting a bid on it. US$3800......what do you think about this price? I know nothing about these Bimmers, but it certainly looks to be in great shape. And nowadays.......Jeeze!!.......I can spend that in a year on beer!

Not that I'd actually think about giving up beer of course.......... ;)

Distance should never stand between you and the car that captures your heart. Next time a CA car captures your heart, think about the BMW bed and breakfast chain. I can cover the southern end of the state, bet Ralph would do LA, and I bet LiquidTiger could work out something in the north. :)

Yeah! If I can ever do something to help out another of us, just ask.

Yes....it is one mean machine. And it's the envy of every one of my friend's 13 year old daughters!

And I quote, "It's like sooooooo cool!"

Too bad I'm not particularly into picking up stray pre-teens, because IF I WAS.....I'd be the one with the hot ride to the Hillary Duff concerts. I actually did take out a 10 and 12 year old a few weeks ago.....along with their hot, divorced mom.....and received glowing praise for the cool looking "q-ball" gearshift lever. So NYA-NYA-NYA!!

And just to justify my existance further, the book says:

Chrysler expands its 2004 PT Cruiser lineup to include a new 180-horsepower (134 kW) turbocharged engine option on Touring and Limited Edition models. With 180 horsepower (134 kW) at 5200 rpm and 210 lb.-ft. (285 N•m) of torque from 2800-4000 rpm. The 180-horsepower (134 kW) engine option includes a standard four-speed automatic transaxle, body-color front fascia with larger lower opening, a unique “2.4L Turbo” liftgate badge, large diameter chrome exhaust tip and new 16-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels. The addition of the 180-horsepower (134 kW) engine offers an affordable, yet powerful option to the PT Cruiser lineup.

Yes, a fart-can exhaust standard! Fortunately, it doesn't have that "weed-wacker" sound to it though.

So, "Mr. Hey Baby, Wanna ride in my 14 year old kraut-car?", I guess that my Good Old All Americun....even though it was made in Mexico....Lee Iacocca promotin', Jenna Bush ownin', terbo-de-luxe blowin' little go-kart ain't so wimpy after all!

And I'm still debating about getting the flames or not.

it certainly looks to be in great shape
But what a colour (color) !!!! YUK!
Makes mental note - next time I want to sell a car, paint it lime green with black stripes, convert it to LHD, export it to the US and sell it for half what I could have got for it in Oz ! :D
My signature says it all ......

WTF?

i looked at one of the pics in the middle, and saw a alpina sticker, and thought....why did somebody stick an alpina sticker on a 1979 toyota corona??? :D :D

all the good american women spell car: "K-R-A-U-T" (done to the same tempo as the kraft commercial)

just for my edification...are you the brian c that writes to mr. dutoit?

no. i don't like the man, i just saw, on his site, a cartoon contributed by one Brian C. it was a slice of life cartoon, like the New Yorker or such, looked like something that would be of your tastes, and that you might post here. was just a weird coincidence i guess.
