Saw a home theatre of a fellow poster and it made me wonder who else has a home theatre they want tp post pics of. Mine pales in comparison to most but I'll share what I have:

47" Sony HDTV
Samsung 400 Watt home theatre in a box.
Monster cables to TV and DVD player
Monster DVI cable to HDTV box

My sub is hidden in a built- in in my living room. All the speaker wire is run under the house and up into the built-in directly into the sub. I like the set up bu would love to upgrade to real speakers and a grown up receiver like Onkyo or Denon. I am also ready to go plasma. Anyone who has a plasma, let me know how you like it? Do they get as hot as I have heard or is that a rumor started by people who can't afford plasmas? :D

I had the RM-AV2100 (lower model of the AV3000), but found it was just easier for me to use 3 remotes.

but once it is setup i can back it up using my pc.
the sony does not have any way to back it up.
plus i cannot rename most of the buttons & i have to remember where i programed buttons.
i take notice that they do not have presets for projectors.

I have a Paradigm Servo-15 sub and have thought about buying a 2nd one. You need a really big room to get the best of it, but I don't have that. I have looked at getting a second one to run them in opposite phases in hopes to fill in some voids, but so far the cash never happens to be available. The sub pounds harder in the upstairs bedroom than it does in the basement that it is in. Partly a function of the basement floor being concrete and partly due to the fact that the sub is so big it just needs a bigger room for wavelength propagation, etc. I'm not in to pounding bass though, just smooth for music and low for movies (depth charges in U-571), but I could do with a little more impact than I currently have. There is a new version of the Servo-15 out....little more expensive....worth the bump in price though.

Hehehe... You guys'll LOVE this!!!

These 2 pics go together in sequence:

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b104/stnick/Image074.jpg First up; My laptop from where I post this from. Sit here for hours and hours and... Next is the book shelf (note the Performance BMW mags in box on bottom shelf..)/ TV unit. The TV is a 10yo Kick arse (not) Samsung!! The tube is nearly ****ed, so People's skin is light purple, and the sky is green!! :D Below is a VCR and DVD player. My first DVD player, 2nd hand, and a christmas present from friends who were sick of bringing DVDs for me to watch, and not having a player!!
(For those with a keen eye, there is a 1/10th scale RC 4wd X5 at top of photo... And an RC Corolla WRCar too)

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b104/stnick/Image075.jpg
Part 2; The Turntables, and Mixer for my other hobby... DJing. To the right is the old CD component that doesn't play CDRs... Underneath it is the TEAC mini system. Its got a dead CD player (hence the one above), and the radio won't work... But the Cassette tapes do!! Holding the bench up are the speakers. They look impressive (The one on the far left, and the one with the white sticker are the only two that work, and are made from bits of about 5 other speakers), they are about 20yo, and sound like ****!!
My DVD Player sound runs through the mixer, but only on the left side!! So you get mono sound for movies!!
Oh, and none of this system has a REMOTE!! :D

So, as you can guess (judging by the CDs and records everywhere... The silver case is what I use to play at the Club) Music is my preference. Don't watch much TV or many movies. Hence why the E34 has a better/ bigger stereo than my house!!

Oh.. top left corner of pic #1 (above laptop) is a collage of my old 323 4wd turbo rally car. Now THAT was fun!! :D

i've seen several on ebay some good some needing a amp or so, thought about it more then once but it never fails that i am flat broke when i see one, i have a huge room (and a ******* next door, he seems to forget the thumpty thump shalt not last into the wee hours in the morning, my cobbled together and hiding behind the big screen sub suprised me one night at 1:00am when i popped in the hell freezes over dvd and played the opening to hotel cal a couple times :D makes me wonder what it'd do if i loaded it into the corner properly )

I dunno, I just switched to a random channel.
If anyone is in the market for an LCD I highly recommend the Sharp Aquos. It has the best picture I have ever seen from a tv. I had a plasma before and the picture was crap compared to this.

I have mine setup up as a TV / Monitor, and I couldn't be happier.
