Hi all, its been along time since I last stopped by as I’ve just finished my final year studying Transport Design at Huddersfield so been major busy, and know how distracting the forum can be, however its only just started! Now comes the hard bit of trying to find a descent job!! So if you know of anything would appreciate it. Thanks

Anyway…

Need some advice, my exhaust has finally rotted away including the manifold gasket and I suspect the manifold is prob gona be warped. Not bad considering I think most of it is still original and I’ve spent the last 3 years patching it up with the mig.

First option was to replace the back box with a Magnex 6x4 Oval witch is my favourite tailpipe of all time and I think would look the dogs dangly’s on an E34 (what do you guys think?) but guess what they don’t make one for the E34, typical. And to make maters worse the ‘universal’ only has a single inlet and no mounts.

Unfortunately the rest of the system isn’t to good ether so would need to have something fabricated to mach the front with the back.

Second option is to fit the 6x4 oval from a 325 witch in theory must have twin inlet. Dose anybody know for sure, or would be as so kind to send some pics?

Finally I may have the option of obtaining a reasonably priced BTB 6 branch manifold form an M20 325 E30 (see photo link) what are the odds of this fitting my car? There seems to be a lot of clearance between the down pipes and steering. Has any one tried this or similar before?

Hard work, blood, sweet and tears!!! Plus being a proper petrol head helps.

And besides the E34 is dead cheap over here, theirs just no market for large cars. Everyone wants crapy girls cars like Saxo’s, Pugs or Corsa’s. Sad!!!

Plus it’s a dame sight safer not to mention more convenient than a bus… I hate English public transport!! It just doesn’t work.

I have not visited since 1989. Used to live on Upper Mount St. on the east side of the downtown area. Loved it when I lived there! Good luck with he repairs.

Somebody got stabbed literally the next street down only a few months ago drugs related I was told. What is the world coming too?! Luckily escaped without any further damage to the bimmer. My younger sister is there now studying hotel management.
