Checked a torque chart for wheels at a tire shop the other day and the spec's they give for 1988 to 1998 BMWs is 88 ft lbs.

I thought I read somewhere in my manual it was 90-95lbs.. Does it vary by rim size too?

However, this may be old data and could have been updated.

81.13 for 110 nm or 95.8 for the 10 over spec of 130nm but at 120nm its
88.5 lbs.... I typed 100nm in earlier but had the lbs correct, forget the 100nm its a typo.

Edit, in my older factory tech specs manual its listed as 100nm plus or minus 10 so the lowest torque in there would be 66.3ft lbs at the lowest setting of 90nm or 81.13 ft lbs at the highest setting of 110nm, but since the tis is the newest source of info I went by it.

Wow,
Has anybody tried to remove one of these torqued on at 80ft lbs with a hand wrench on the side of the road with pouring rain? I suspect I am undertorquing mine ;)
