Id be all over that if it was a manual - car is only an hour from me. Have seen it in the local BMW Car club newletter before.

I just love the M540's. Wonder if he would consider a straight up trade on a 525 daily driver? Don't laugh, I just put in an entirely new sound system.

The wheels on the M540 are the throwing starts and on sharkmans 540 they are style 10,s

It's only $8900, not much for an M-Sport. I LOVE the color!

Fuel consumption is usually around 13.5/100 to 15/100 kilometers or thereabouts, I just changed plugs and an O2 sensor but the mileage did not improve at all.

Yes, that M540 is a harsh red to my eyes... and yes, my red is quite rare.
I did tranny mounts last year, i just did the brakes completely, upper control arm, rebuilt the AC, replaced the rear springs, dash lights, the expensive list goes on and on.
I also just noticed a big drippy leak at the front driver side... the new control arm installed yesterday already has fluid on it! :(

The wheels on the M540 are the throwing starts...
They're actually called M system II's
They became known as Throwing Stars because their covers looked similar to those star shaped throwing knives used by Japanese Samurais.

The orignal M system wheels were the same construction but had a turbine type wheel cover used to assist brake cooling.
They became known as M system I's after the Throwing Stars were released.
