For those 'Down Under' looking for Vogtland springs, this is the reply I received from Vogtland in Germany (translated from German using Google)

Hello to Australia,
unfortunately we do not have a partner in Australia. In new Zealand however it is the company Suspension progress in Pakuranga, Auckland Tel. 0064 21378902 ability you us a partner in Australia recommends, we looks for a representative, who sells and drives our feathers/springs out. Thank you for your assistance. Yours sincerely,
Best regards Christian Klose sales manager

So it maybe worth getting a quote from N.Z.?

Sounds like Vogtland would like you to be their representative in AUS. Assuming that you'll drive their feathers out.

Sounds like a good scam in the making there! You don't know anyone making the trip to Aus do you? We could do with couriers and would do airport pickups in Bavarian Limousines of course. Or we could perhaps post one big box slow freight... We're looking at at least 3 sets by the looks of it, if you should feel inclined a price from those guys would sure fire us up... We're after the spring with model number #951026. Thanks Moit! :) GP

drive them feathers manHeya, did any of you guys buy a set? If not I have the solution. Have been talking with FCP Groton in the US.

Fret NOT about springs any more... all is well!

They have put some Vogtland springs are now on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-BMW-E34-LOWERING-SPRINGS-VOGTLAND-GERMANY_W0QQitemZ7999235141QQcategoryZ33582QQrdZ1Q QcmdZViewItem) for $199USD plus shipping. They will ship to Australia (but they might want a bit extra for filling out the customs forms so you best be very nice to them cos they have to get someone to box em up and lug it to the Post Office to do it).

A set weigh 25lbs so shipping is;

About $111 by USPS Airmail or $48 by USPS Economy Mail Parcel Post. I always ask for a Certtificate of Mailing (an extra dollar) so I can follow it up with postal people in Aus without hassling the vendor or the postal staff here thinking I'm imagining people sending me parcels...

All prices USD.

Not bad eh? Not bad at all... :) GP
