my exhast hanger support is bent

its the one next to the gearbox that attaches the cat to the car. What should I do, remove it, bang it into place and be done. Why would it bend like that. I noticed it for the first time today.

i usually throw them away and do without, but you can bang/pry it straight

Hi Kristian.

I'll guess that it was caused by a less-than-optimal exhaust removal job (ie -- the weight of the rear 1/2 of the exhaust was on the bracket and additional pressure bent it).

Just pry it back into place -- no big deal, mate :)
