View Full Version : Swapping m50 for s50 question...

Just looking for anyone that has done this or is in the process. I am finally after almost 1 1/2 going to put my 99 M3 3.2L (back to ODB-I) and 5 speed into my 95 525 e34. My questions concern that tranny....since it is a ZF and not a Getrag it is longer so the OEM drive sharft and transmission brace will not work...am I correct here. I am looing for info on this....

BMW used a ZF manual tranny in the '91-'92 M50 525i. So look into that, or its tranny cross member. You might also want to search for that driveshaft.
