It seems like "that" time of the year is baaaaack. I was just looking at the radar and New Orleans looks like it's gonna get wet.

Lt. Steven Hauk: First of all, don't make fun of the weather here, and don't say the weather is the same all the time here. Because it's not. In fact, it's two degrees colder today than yesterday.
Adrian Cronauer: Two degrees colder, me without my muff.

[imitating Walter Cronkite]
Adrian Cronauer: I just want to begin by saying to Roosevelt E. Roosevelt, what it is, what it shall be, what it was. The weather out there today is hot and shitty with continued hot and shitty in the afternoon. Tomorrow a chance of continued crappy with a pissy weather front coming down from the north. Basically, it's hotter than a snake's ass in a wagon rut.

....storm grumbling around down in the coochee-coochee lands and might be heading this way by the end of the week. I guess I'd better start looking for that big old box of wingnuts I had last November. It might be prudent to stock up on beer now too. Don't want to be caught short ya know.... :p

It was funny....I guess....to see how after last year's storm season, FEMA paid-off on something like $31 million in hurricane related claims in Miami-Dade County alone! Hmmm....as I recall, top winds here were about 45mph. They've actually arrested a few people who "lost" plasma screen TVs, stereo systems, art works and other stuff to all that violent weather.

I dunno, but if I was told to put in a claim if I thought I lost something valuable and I did, I think it should be FEMA's job to investigate claims before they just rubber stamp them PAY CLAIM. They were just sending money to people without even checking, then arresting them after they got flack from news people clueing them in.

We should have petitioned Ed to let us post sound files again last week, as long as he was rebuilding the system. Even I would give back a t-shirt if we could post them! :p

We were actually hoping Cindy would hit here in Houston, we could really use some rain :) Had the driest June on record. Maybe Dennis will make it over here, my yard is starting to die.
