Richard...Find a shop that has a Hunter Roadforce and have them balance the tires out. 90km/h is about the right speed for the infamous bushings problems, anyway -- have you checked them out?

do you notice the vibration more when you hit the brakes?

Why would it be the bushings if he only noticed it when he put the new rims on? Would he perhaps just need hubcentric rings as his new rims may have the 74.1mm center bore?

Sorry my bad, just read that he did use hubcentric rings....

lol... id guess the tires are either off balance or out of round. maybe both?

Well...it was just a thought. Lifting the front of the car to change the wheels might've been the last straw for a worn set of thrust arm bushings.

But yes, I agree with Jeff that it's probably an out of round or misbalanced wheel. Gotta look at the whole picture, though. 55mph is the right speed for the wobbles ;)

Have you tried putting your old wheels on again to see if the problem is still there?

i would dismount the front tires and check the rims by themselves. Afterall, wheels from China can be of good quality or very poor quality. If the rim itself needs more then .25 ounce, ask for a replacement, if not remount the tires and rebalance. If you still have the problem, it very well could be the bushings. As for why the vibration "surfaced" after the tire upgrade, it's because they are wider and of lower profile, and that causes a higher load on an already "sub-par" bushing.

Hope this helps.

if my car vibrates when i touch the brakes. by that i mean its more notisable, what does that mean?

Once again, I have to suggest checking the thrust arm bushings and inspecting the rotors to see if they're warped.

The vibration + getting worse when hitting the brakes = those two components. :)
