Has anyone tried retrofitting any of Hella's new driving lamps instead of the low beams we have on the E34?

Previous owner of my car tried using one of those crappy Japan 'xenon' bulbs taht wasn't UV shielded...thus melting one of my reflectors.

H1 low beam reflector (the bucket) is kinda hard to come by here... although I know I can get one in time... but I was looking at Hella's new line-up of driving lamps... specifically their new kit with cornering lights (retrofit adaptive lights)

They seem to be the same diamter as the current E34 low-beams and I was thinking of removing the low-beam assembly and replacing it with this one.

Has anyone attempted anything like this?

I'd order it to fit the E34. The headlight mounting assembly (bucket mount points) seem pretty specific. Not sure a generic "hella" will mount up. Others might know for sure.

Ya, I guess... it was just a thought while I was at the shop, and saw a set on one of the shelves. Thought it would be cool to have an E34 with adaptive headlights. :P
