No e34 M30 came with knock sensors, TMK.

Sorry to break the thread, but it seems that my consumption is 'average' so to speak ;) Thank you VERY much for your submissions and do keep them coming. I'm sure someone will search for mileage and stumble upon this as a baseline.

On the note of anti-knock sensor... since the M30 doesn't have it (1989), then if I chipped it and ran lower octane gas for whatever reason (yes, I know!), nothing would retard the timing and it would be knocking until it fell apart?
