Safety regulations for some track days require a fire extinguisher to be firmly affixed to the vechile. I'm reading that the minimum weight of the fire extinghisher is 900 grams.

I haven't heard of such device (brackets) to hold the extinguisher on the car before, i'm guessing it's placed in the boot somewhere.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

there is no fire extinguisher underneath the front passengers seat. theres some wires around there...don't know much - haven't had a good look under there.

There is a stock bracket system you can order, Im not sure if it would be large enough. Look on the ETK on an M//5 car or something and post what you find.

I looked up the m5 touring version 1992 model.

It shows a cannister which holds the fluid, a bracket to support the cannister and mounting parts. It lists the cannister at 1 kg (good) and the bracket at 1.3 kilos (even better).

maybe US$70?
