Can you get just the 6sp insert for the M gearknob?

I'm assuming the standard 6-speed insert on the top of the gearknob isn't transparent and such won't let the light through if fitted to an illuminated M-tech gearknob. Can the transparent insert be purchased separately? I've seen a few M-tech gearknobs with 5-speed inserts come up on eBay relatively cheap (probably from an E36 or early E34) but don't want it if I can't change the insert for a 6-speed!

since i have the 6spd lighted model on my 5spd,
if u buy the 5 spd one and figure out how to pop
it out i'll swap with u
