There seems to be a good body of expereince on this forum, so pardon the E30 post . . . . .
I just spent a few minutes looking at my son's 1991 318ic that has been parked outside all winter. There's a wet spot on carpet on the driver's side in the back seat floor. No drips or direct leaks apparent. Top is in tact and well sealed. Rain gutters around trunk are clear. Trunk is bone dry all around. I am thinking the water may have gotten in through the opening where the top stows. I didn't have time to remove the rear seat or troubleshoot.
Anyone have any expereince with this problem or ideas?

theres some drains down below the pivot points for the top at ether side of the car that can get clogged with tree crap

The car was parked under pine trees all winter. Thanks, I'll pass it on.
