My transmission for my Mercedes is being rebuilt. It calls for Dexron III. I was thinking of using Amsoil and I was wondering what your thoughts were or what experiences you may have had. Otherwise, what do you feel is the very best product available?

Well, seeing as how Don Gale sells the stuff, it can't be that bad.

But then again, everyone has their preferences. Bidoli likes his Royal Purple. I really like the Redline synthetics, even though they cost a bit more.

7 quarts? must be a big body.

I belive it takes 7.2. Not sure yet. The place I bought them from only had the 7.
