Even our Republican politicians are smart enough to know when somebody is on the level or not. I didn't vote for Pat Roberts, but I always thought he was a very straightforeward and honest guy. I met him once when he came to my office and he seemed to be able to talk to us, one on one, without coming across as someone that would always follow party lines without first thinking about it.

accusations you can come up with and then broadcast it on every network, then when the reality comes out, it gets a small notice somewhere and 95% percent of the public never see's it or even if they do see it then they already have firmly imprinted in their minds the first smear..
Kind of along the lines of "I'm glad to hear that you don't beat your wife anymore"
