Simple - I think time will prove he knowingly lied about WMD's to start a war.

Maybe the Republican platform was simply in accordance with US policy that had already been made into law, aka "The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998" which President Clinton signed into law on Oct. 31, 1998? The act includes this tidbit:

"It should be the policy of the United States to support efforts to remove the regime headed by Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq and to promote the emergence of a democratic government to replace that regime."

The Iraq War was not based on faulty intelligence as some believe. The claims that Iraq had existing stockpiles of WMD appear to be faulty. However, the claims that Iraq was not in compliance with Resolution 1441? This is true. The claims that Iraq was a sponsor of international terrorism? Also true. The claims that Iraq was in the process of reconstituting a forbidden nuclear weapons program? True once again.

Bush did not lie. Tenet's CIA blew it (but then so did most of the rest of the world's intelligence services). Tenet should fall on his sword on this one, especially since he was given another chance after 9/11. If Tenet doesn't voluntarily step down, then Bush should publicly fire him.

First of all Phil, I still don't see how Iraq is a sponsor of international terrorism, neither do I see any forbidden nuclear programs (did the US find any enriched uranium, centrifuges and etc??, or is it just based on some documents which could be fabricated???).

Now, there is no reasons for war (considering the number of lives lost and the financial cost on American taxpayers and so on..). No one has taken the responsibility of the faulty evidences presented to the American public, United Nation, Congress and the entire world.

Whether Bush lied or not, we will never know for now. What I know is Prez Bush should resign and take full responsibility of what that has happened. The least he could do is to apologise to the American public for dragging the nation into war for a "threat" that did not even existed!!

The world was against the "Invasion" of Iraq (except of course the US and UK and subsequently Spain, Australia and Poland joined the so called alliance), maybe their intelligence has been telling them that there is no WMD in Iraq.

the only reason you have freedom is because there was war. people in iraq had no rights or freedom, just try to imagine you having to watch your family die in front of you as they torchered you, they raped women, killed children, imprissoned people, for trying to live a simple lifestyle you are taking for granted. clinton did not do his job the first time because we were attacked again, but you would rather blaim bush because he was in office when it happened the second time,i did not hear anyone complaining about the first time, it can takes several years to see the effect a president has made. clinton has been proven to lie over & over & over again!!! bush is protecting our life style, i come from a family with military service men, they agree that bush is doing the right thing. i appretiate that bush has the balls to do what others where to chicken to.

I've been there, so I dont think too many of you should reall bitch too much. I was with 3-15th infantry of the 3rd infantry division. if you watched david bloom, the reporter who rode on a tracked vehicle all the way up and died on the euphrates river, you saw my unit. even if there were no weapons of mass destruction, we did find terrorist training camps, many of them. and just going on patrol and having people thank you for bringing them freedom every chance they got, that is what makes it worthwhile. I helped bring something to these people that they had only heard stories about, and if Bush didnt send us in they would still be under his cruel regime. IT IS NOT YOUR PLACE to criticize Operation Iraqi Freedom as you have no idea of what its really like, you like all the other mindless sheep out there only know and believe what the media wants you to. and if Bush lied, then why did the UN keep sending inspectors in? why did the rest of the world think that Iraq had WMDs? And since I'm on the topic, during Gulf War 1 the coalition forces captured and destroyed hundreds of TONS of WMDs. I am fully convinced that since he had the weapons before then there is still probably some out there. what would have kept him from making them or buying them? nothing, the UN is a joke, and when you have neighboring countries that would just love to make some money by selling you some chemical agents, its bound to happen. just my rant for the day. oh yeah

clinton & kerry both lie repeatedly, it is so obvious, even when they do not need to lie they do, it is either a habit or a compulsive disorder they have that i do not support. even rush limbaugh did not lie about his drug addiction, he avoided it as long as he could & admitted to it when he had to, but he did not lie. as a small business owner i took a short course in body language, i suggest more people to do the same. it is scary to see how often people lie out of habit.

I cannot agree with you more. The media controls our country and our mass population are just "mindless sheep" hearded by them.
