I recently needed to replace one of the e34 low beam bulbs, us ellipsoid. Been runnin 9005 silverstars but didn’t have a spare handy. Did have a normal 9006.

Looked from the driver’s seat like i was piloting a cyclops. Even in traffic against someones rear end that 9006 was barely lighting anythin up. So weak.
Even w/ a short lifespan the 9005 silvers are worth it. It will still take bout 8years for the cost of these bulbs to equal an HID setup.
For those a bit more frugal maybe at least silver 06s.
But i can live w/ the downside.
Worth it on the 3er too.
