Default Just ordered z8 shifter from Yves.

The mZ3roadster shifter seems to be giving up the bushing. The action really went to crap a few weeks ago. I also ordered a new bitch clip & rear transmission mounts for an early 320 which are thicker & more rigid.

    Default z8 shifter huh?

well well well... Like that one in my car huh?

Sounds like we're getting due for a little under-car tranny sessions.

Default The z8 shifter is pretty mild with an easy action, very similar to stock.

The mz3 roadster shifter is very short & sporty. Because the angles are so much more acute than stock, the soft bushings are starting to wear away enough to affect the shifting action. I may find some brass bushings for the old mz3 shifter.
Jeff and another local guy both have the z8 shifter & seem happy with it. Honestly, I drove my car yeasterday for the first time in a while. The shifter was very pleasant & smooth. When I wait for shifts & drive smoothly, there isn't a problem. When hurried, the shifts need to be forced into the lower gears.

Winfred is a friggin' genius with this mezmerizing stuff.
