Default Parting 93 525i La Habra, CA

I'm parting my 525i. Lot's of good parts, but I've shifted gears and want something 75 or older. It needs a CAT, windshield and paint, not willing to dump the money into it to make it legal again.

It's oxford green metallic with silver grey interior. I also have an extra passenger rear door. Paint is not so great. Motor is good but vanos is noisy. 5 speed shifts good. Interior is OK, seats are rip free, but the leather should be refinished.

Near new suspension all around. New Stock strut inserts, lowering springs. Have steering linkage new that was never installed. The rest of the stuff has less than 5k miles on it.

Dash computer works, including all lights.

    Cluster is good.

    Dash is good.

    Have an EAT chip. $100

Runs strong as was still getting low 30's on the freeway with a little care.

E60 5 spoke rims with decent tires. $350 obo

Factory alarm working with remote. $60

Might sell the whole thing, if you are interested let me know.

Shipping might be an option, but the way my schedule has been don't expect quick service.

Make an offer or ask for price. I don't have time to figure out what everything is worth right now.

reply here or call me at 562-858-3967

    eric,

    a few quick questions....

will that EAT chip work on any '93 525 - automatic or manual?
on the alarm - I'm assuming that'll just plug into the port under the rear seat?

any chance of some photos of the door panels?

what about the rear window motors - do they work?

I'm not anywhere near, so shipping would have to happen; willing to be patient if you can ship....

    Thank you!

I got the EAT chip for my car, which is a manual. I don't know if it's different for the auto. I think my computer is the one that has 413 in the part number. I'll check.

The alarm will plug into the port under the rear seat. I have the remote with the chip

I'll work on some photos of the door panels, but I can tell you the rears are junk.

I have 2 good rear window motors. One from the drivers door, and another in a door I got from the junk yard but never got around to installing.

I'll ship, especially the small stuff. It would take a few days to get it out, depending on the week.

the door panels probably aren't easy to ship; let me know what you think.

i'm more interested in the alarm, the window motors, and the chip...

I could ship the door panels. The fronts aren't perfect, so you might not even want to pay shipping on them. When I get home I'll post a few pics. The inserts on the rears have fallen off and been reglued (poorly, not by me) so they are pretty shabby.

I also have a custom drink holder, I just mounted a dual cup holder to a piece of wood and covered it with black carpet. It fits perfectly in the little compartment near the rear of the console.

I have a couple of the change holders that fit in the door pockets.

    5 speed is good.

I plan on pulling everything I can store before crushing the body.

MAF to throttle body boot gone, front and rear side markers gone, underhood insulation pad gone.

Upper and lower front control arms gone.

If someone local wants to swap my 5 speed and associated parts for the 4l30e with electronics I'll do it straight across. Needs a clutch.
