Presently, the car has 141,500 miles on it. I bought this car approximately 7-1/2 years ago and have babied it ever since. It is rarely driven in the rain and has only been in snow a few times. For most of this time, it has either been under a carport or in a garage. The paint still looks gorgeous and has always been polished and waxed at least twice yearly. The car has all the right modifications. It has been lowered with the factory M-Technic springs and runs on stock Boge struts for a firm, yet comfortable ride. I also added Racing Dynamics sway bars to sharpen up the handling and keep the car flat in turns. Topping the suspension upgrades off is a set of 17" x 8" Style 5 wheels (no rash whatsoever) with brand new Bridgestone LS-Z grand touring tires. It has the stock engine chip installed, but will come with an EAT chip too. I'll install it if the new owner wants it in.

I have changed the oil every 4,000 miles with 20W-50 Castrol GTX. I adjust the valves religiously at 10,000-15,000 miles. I have also kept the antifreeze, brake fluid, transmission fluid, differnetial fluid and power steering fluids changed on schedule. I have performed all of the service work myself following the BMW service schedule. I keep a detailed book showing every bit of service the car has received and can supply that detail if required. I have always used OEM level parts for replacements.

The car has a BMW AM/FM cassette headunit with trunk-mounted CD changer. I have replaced all of the speakers with Polk DB component drivers in front and Polk DB coaxials in the rear. I have also added a 12 dual voice coil JBL subwoofer firing through the ski passthrough. The Polks are fed by a Sony 4 channel amp with 5 bands of equalization for both front and rear. The JBL sub is fed by a Profile amp that is bridged. The sound is clean and full. The car also features a Crimestopper car alarm with shock, movement and motion sensing sensors. This alarm also features remote lock/unlock. I will include all documentation for the electronics.

There are a few small issues to disclose. The headliner hangs down in a few spots but does not require immediate repair. Although the interior wood trim still has a glossy surface, there are hairline cracks running through some pieces. The wood piece on the glovebox also has a small nick in it. The rear door panels sag at their tops and have since I've owned it. But most people don't notice. There is a small door ding in the passenger side, rear door. But a paintless dent repair person could easily fix it which would make the entire body ding-free. The passenger side front fender and front door skin have been replaced and repainted due to a fender bender. However, all work was performed at D-Patrick BMW of Evansville, Indiana. I paid for the 150 mile roundtrip tow bill personally to have them do the work. Most people would not notice as the color match and surface finish are excellent. Finally, I occasionally receive the "Trans Program" message. This has occurred for the past couple of years, but has proven to be an electrical gremlin as the transmission shifts perfectly at all other times. Usually, shutting the engine off and waiting a few minutes resets the computer and the car runs and shifts fine. I also have a feeling that it is due for rear subframe bushings as the rear of the car doesn't seem to respond as quickly as the front.

Overall, this car is still in excellent condition for its age. With the style 5 wheels and lowering springs, it just looks beautiful. Many people who see it are amazed that it is 14 years old. Due to recent career changes and the need to tighten the belt a bit, I've decided to sell both of my older cars and replace them with something more fuel efficient. I'll miss this car greatly, but am certain it will bring quite a bit of happiness to the next owner. I'm asking $7,200 due to the condition and modifications. If you have questions, feel free to email.
